#NOLAZINE - Cleveland, Ohio entrepreneur TerDawn DeBoe (@terdawndeboe) is making major moves in the technology industry after being recognized as the first and only Black woman named a Forbes AI expert for small businesses through its Leadership Lessons video series.

Now, DeBoe is using her knowledge to help entrepreneurs work smarter and increase profits with the launch of her three-day “Build Your AI Team Challenge.” The live online program is designed to teach small business owners how to use artificial intelligence to automate daily tasks, reduce expenses, and build more efficient operations without hiring large teams.

As the founder of the Institute of Business AI and author of ROI with AI, DeBoe’s journey was shaped by personal tragedy following the loss of her grandson. Instead of reopening her former digital marketing agency, she created a new business model powered by a small human team working alongside AI technology.

Her accomplishments have also earned her recognition as the 2026 Pink & Black Honors Tech of the Year, along with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.

Through her latest initiative, DeBoe hopes to show entrepreneurs that artificial intelligence isn’t just for major corporations. Small businesses can also use the technology to save time, increase productivity, and create new opportunities for financial growth.

Do y’all think artificial intelligence will become one of the most important tools for small business owners over the next few years?
