Black Doctor Builds $1.65 Billion Healthcare Platform That Makes Hospitals Compete to Hire Nurses

#NOLAZINE - Sudanese American physician and entrepreneur Dr. Iman Abuzeid is changing the healthcare industry by transforming how hospitals recruit nurses.
After noticing that qualified nurses were applying for multiple hospital positions without receiving responses, even as hospitals struggled with staffing shortages, Abuzeid decided to create a better solution.
In 2017, she co-founded Incredible Health (@incrediblehealth), an innovative hiring platform that flips the traditional recruitment process. Instead of nurses constantly applying for jobs, hospitals compete to recruit qualified nursing professionals.
The company has grown into a major force in healthcare recruiting, reporting more than 1.5 million nurses on its platform and reaching a remarkable $1.65 billion valuation.
Abuzeid’s mission goes beyond building a billion-dollar business. She wants healthcare workers to receive the opportunities, appreciation, and support they deserve.
Her journey is another powerful example of how Black entrepreneurs are using innovation to solve real-world problems while building successful businesses.
Do you think more industries should adopt a hiring system where employers compete for qualified workers instead of workers chasing job opportunities?
