Just a few weeks ago, we was introduced to a talented music artist by the name of GT Ransom, a Louisiana emcee who was making a massive wave in the scene with his unique flow and one-of-a-kind sound, and it didn’t take long at all for us to become a fan. There is a moment when listening to a new artist that you realize just how impactful they will be and how true their intention is. Simply listening to their music grants you a glimpse into their passion, influences and sheer love of the music they create. Although we're not entirely familiar with Louisiana’s very own Kvng Tone, and his entire catalog of music, we have thoroughly enjoyed everything that we've heard, thus far. The way he incorporates so much passion, emotion, and all-out empathy into every single word he raps gives us goosebumps because you can tell he truly means every word he raps. Conway, Arkansas artist Phaeva Phawty is known for being one of the most authentic artists out of “The Natural State”. His diverse sound is a representation of the culture in which he comes from - Black people who come from low socioeconomic backgrounds & are defying the odds. After his song “Next Thang You Know” ft. Mo3 picked up steam ; he is back with another hit that is still making rounds on social media, “Dreams” ft. Don Trip & Mel Lamar. In 2020, Phawty collaborated with the late Dallas rapper, Mo3 on the single, “Next Thang You Know”, which reached over 65k YouTube views within six months. The song reached music and entertainment platforms like Say Cheese TV, Spade TV, and youtuber Charlie Bo, who are also to credit for the widespread support of the single. Now that Phawty has become a familiar face in the music industry, his fanbase continues to grow. Now, Phaeva has dropped “Dreams” ft. legendary Tennessee artist Don Trip. Dreams is a soulful song that resonates with anybody from the trenches. Phawty & Trip speak on multiple topics such as fake friends, struggles & persevering. Although they sound so different, it’s the change of pace about halfway through that really makes this song truly dynamic and impressive. The production is built through blithe keys mixed with relaxed, lighthearted synths, refreshing percussion, and some impactful yet toned down drums. This beat paves the way for Bigg Sugg's voice to shine from the moment of its inception until the very last second of the record. We have been big fans of Bigg Sugg for a while now and after listening to her new single, and we know she will become a fan of NOLAZINE after this article as well. Her unique ability to switch up styles and come off in different ways depending on the type of song she’s creating. We came across a new song she had with Britt Bandz and we had to check it out. This pairing was bond to happen, but we knew the immense amounts of talents both artists have, so we was confident that they’d know how to not only make this track work but make it shine as well.
