  • Malachite Releases New Song "Still Don't Know"

A compelling new voice has entered the R&B and alternative R&B space—Malachite, an emerging singer-songwriter whose music is as honest as it is soul-stirring. With the release of her debut single, Still Don’t Know , Malachite delivers a vulnerable, introspective track that speaks to the uncertainty of life and the quiet strength found in surrendering to it. Born in Philadelphia and raised in the cultural melting pot of metro Atlanta, Malachite’s musical journey began in church, where she sang gospel as a child. But it wasn’t until high school, through writing poetry, that her love for storytelling and emotional expression began to blossom. During her college years, a close friend inspired her to turn those poems into songs—and from there, the artist known as Malachite was born. Still Don’t Know  marks her entry into the music world with a rich, genre-blending sound that draws from influences like Brandy, Summer Walker, Frank Ocean, India.Arie, and Lauryn Hill. The song showcases her ability to weave lyrical depth with soulful vocals and fluid, atmospheric production. It’s a track that feels both current and timeless, intimate yet universally relatable. Beyond music, Malachite is building a complete creative identity, including a fashion line that reflects her bold, earthy aesthetic and spiritual ethos. • Fabolous Song "Into You" Switch: The Backstory Behind the Tamia Replacement That Still Gave Ashanti a Win

In the early 2000s, Ashanti was a dominating force on the R&B and Hip-Hop charts. Her sultry vocals and chart-topping collaborations made her one of the most sought-after artists in the industry. One such opportunity was the hit single "Into You" by Fabolous — but the story behind its release features a twist that few fans saw coming. Originally, Ashanti was set to be the featured vocalist on the official single version of "Into You." However, due to label politics and strategic branding decisions, she was replaced by singer Tamia. According to industry insiders, including Fabolous himself, Irv Gotti — head of Murder Inc. and Ashanti’s label executive at the time — refused to let her film the music video. His reasoning? He believed Ashanti was becoming oversaturated in the market and wanted to preserve her mystique and exclusivity. Tamia, who had originally recorded the hook for “So Into You” (the song Fabolous sampled), was brought in as her replacement for the video version of the track. Her soulful delivery gave the track a polished finish, and the switch added an interesting dynamic to the song’s legacy. Despite being sidelined visually, Ashanti still won in the end. Both her version (featured on Fabolous’s album Street Dreams ) and the single version with Tamia received significant radio play. This dual success led to all three artists — Fabolous, Ashanti, and Tamia — being officially credited when the song peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100. While fans continue to debate which version reigns supreme, one thing is clear: Ashanti’s absence from the video didn’t diminish her shine. Instead, it further cemented her dominance during an era where every hook she touched turned to gold.

  • The Story of How Steven Spielberg Went from an Outsider with a Camera to the King of Cinema

Steven Spielberg’s journey to becoming one of the most legendary filmmakers in cinematic history is the ultimate underdog story—a tale of passion, rejection, resilience, and an unshakable belief in storytelling. Long before he directed blockbusters like Jaws , E.T. , Jurassic Park , and Schindler’s List , Spielberg was just a kid with a camera, dreaming in frames and flickers. As a teenager, he was obsessed with making short films, often roping in family members and friends as actors. His early love for visual storytelling was clear, but the industry—and even academia—didn’t see his potential. Spielberg applied to the prestigious University of Southern California’s film school twice. Both times, he was rejected. Most would have taken that as a sign to give up. Spielberg didn’t. Instead of a traditional route, he forged his own path. He snuck onto the Universal Studios lot as a teenager, dressed like a studio executive and using empty offices to set up meetings with anyone who would listen. His persistence and passion finally caught the attention of the right people. By 1968, he directed a short film, Amblin’ , that impressed Universal enough to offer him a contract—the youngest director ever signed to a long-term deal with a major studio. From there, Spielberg’s ascent was meteoric. Jaws  (1975) became the first summer blockbuster, E.T.  (1982) became a global phenomenon, and Schindler’s List  (1993) won him the Academy Award for Best Director. His work has spanned genres—from historical dramas and thrillers to science fiction and adventure—and he’s consistently redefined what’s possible on the big screen. To date, Spielberg’s films have grossed over $10 billion  worldwide. But more than numbers, his legacy lies in the way his stories connect deeply with audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Steven Spielberg wasn’t handed a key to Hollywood—he carved his own door. His story is a powerful reminder that rejection isn’t the end, but often the beginning. With vision, persistence, and courage to bet on your dreams, even an outsider with a camera can become the king of cinema.
