#NOLAZINE - Sean “Diddy” Combs is making headlines again, but this time it involves an alleged prison fight with one of Jamaica’s most notorious former crime bosses, Christopher “Dudus” Coke, the former leader of the infamous Shower Posse.

According to an October 14, 2026, TMZ report, Diddy allegedly got into a physical confrontation with Coke at FCI Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. The reported altercation left the Bad Boy Records founder with a head injury that required outside medical attention.

But who exactly is Christopher “Dudus” Coke?

Coke was once one of Jamaica’s most powerful criminal figures, controlling the Shower Posse, an international organization involved in drug trafficking, weapons trafficking, and violence. Based in the Tivoli Gardens community of Kingston, Jamaica, Coke built an organization whose influence extended into the United States.

His power became international news in 2010 when Jamaican authorities launched an operation to capture him for extradition to the United States. The operation sparked deadly violence in Kingston, leaving more than 70 people dead.

In 2012, Coke was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to racketeering conspiracy and conspiracy to commit assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering.

So what reportedly caused the fight with Diddy?

According to TMZ, tensions allegedly developed after reports surfaced about Diddy receiving special privileges behind bars. Sources claimed the publicity triggered prison searches and the confiscation of contraband cellphones, including phones belonging to Coke.

The two men reportedly confronted each other on October 9, with Diddy receiving medical treatment the following morning.

However, the alleged fight and its motive have not been independently confirmed by prison officials. A representative for Diddy said his team could not independently verify the reported confrontation.

The story has attracted attention because it reportedly brings together two men from very different worlds: one a former music industry powerhouse, the other a former Jamaican criminal kingpin whose organization once operated across international borders.
