Who Is C4 Trill? The Most Hated, Yet Most Loved Rapper in New Orleans

ree

New Orleans has long been a breeding ground for raw, authentic hip-hop talent—and C4 Trill is no exception. With his latest single “Blick Talk” now streaming on all major platforms, the spotlight is once again on the controversial but undeniably talented rapper who's been buzzing since his teen years.

Born and raised in the legendary Iberville Projects, C4 Trill’s journey is one rooted in pain, survival, and perseverance. Many know Iberville today thanks to rap stars like Rob49, who’s put the neighborhood on the map with hits like “Vulture Island” featuring Lil Baby—a video in which C4 Trill also made a cameo appearance.

But C4 Trill’s legacy began long before the co-signs. His father, known in the streets as “Chucky,” was a respected and money-driven figure in New Orleans. Tragically, Chucky’s life was cut short before C4 Trill even reached one year of age. That early loss became a defining force in the young rapper’s life, fueling his gritty storytelling and no-holds-barred lyrical content.

C4 Trill first built his name through Clock Work Entertainment, a local label out of his Iberville neighborhood. Over the past decade, he's continued to evolve—eventually launching his own movement, Gang Green, a testament to his independence and hustle.

While some may label him as "one of the most hated" in the city, C4 Trill’s growing fan base tells a different story. His supporters recognize the authenticity in his voice and respect the hardships that shaped him. His music isn’t just for entertainment—it’s a window into the soul of New Orleans street life, delivered by someone who’s lived every bar.

If you're a fan of real, unfiltered hip-hop, make sure to check out his new single “Blick Talk” and follow him on Instagram: @c4_trill. C4 Trill isn’t just making noise—he’s making a mark.
