The New Orleans Female Rapper Making Major Noise and Bringing the City's Sound to a New Generation: Treety
#NOLAZINE - New Orleans has always been a breeding ground for talented music artists, and one female rapper who continues to make her presence felt is Treian “Treety” Jackson. Known for her fearless lyrics, energetic delivery, and ability to blend traditional New Orleans bounce with modern hip-hop, Treety has become one of the city's rising stars.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Treety began building her music career independently in 2017. Long before gaining national attention, she was developing her sound, releasing music, and using social media to connect with listeners. Her determination eventually paid off when her 2023 breakout record “Making Love” went viral, introducing her music to a much larger audience.
The record, produced by Grammy-winning New Orleans producer BlaqNmilD, combined the city's signature bounce sound with an R&B influence, helping Treety separate herself from other emerging artists. The success opened new doors, eventually leading to a deal with Create Music Group in 2024.
Treety continued building momentum with records like “Is U Stupid?”, “Love Song”, and “Ain't No Fun” featuring fellow New Orleans rapper Rob49. Her 2025 album Trick or Treat further showcased her versatility, proving that she could deliver more than bounce records while maintaining the authentic New Orleans energy that helped establish her name.
Working alongside Curren$y's Jet Life Recordings, Treety has continued expanding her reach. In 2026, she released “Bad Vibes,” another record combining her love for R&B samples, bounce production, and unapologetic lyricism.
What makes Treety's journey special is her refusal to abandon her roots while pursuing mainstream success. Her music represents the attitude, confidence, and originality that have made New Orleans one of the most influential cities in hip-hop history.
With female rappers continuing to make major moves throughout the music industry, Treety is showing that New Orleans still has plenty of talent ready to represent the city on a national stage.
Do y'all think Treety has what it takes to become the next major female rap superstar out of New Orleans? And is she currently one of the hottest female rappers coming out of Louisiana? 👀🔥
