Houston Singer Peyton Celebrates Her Roots With New Song “From The South (Personal)”

Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Peyton has been developing her musical identity for years, blending elements of R&B and soul with a dreamy, distinctive vocal style. Her musical foundation started early: she trained as both a vocalist and violinist and grew up surrounded by influences ranging from gospel to hip-hop, pop and R&B. Last.fm

“From The South (Personal)” arrives as another opportunity for listeners to connect with an artist whose Houston upbringing has remained an important part of her story.
For Southern artists, where you're from can become more than a location—it can influence your sound, perspective, creativity and the stories you choose to tell. Peyton's latest release puts that connection right in the title.
As Houston continues to produce talent across hip-hop, R&B, soul and other genres, Peyton represents another voice emerging from a city with an unmistakable musical identity.
