Emerging from the heart of the South with raw stories, southern soul, and an undeniable chemistry, Hip-Hop group Hi$ & Her$ is more than just music—they’re a movement. The group is composed of Kddo, hailing from Lufkin, Texas, and Mack, raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, by way of Houston. Together, they represent resilience, authenticity, and the power of partnership in creativity.
Kddo grew up in a small Texas town where, despite not having much, his parents gave him everything they could. While money was tight, his drive was rich. Music quickly became a therapeutic outlet—a way to cope, express, and imagine something greater. “It gave me an outlet to showcase my creativity and feelings,” he reflects. Though he’d been writing and recording since childhood, self-doubt started to creep in during his later teen years. That all changed when he met Mack. Their connection was instant, and creatively, they were aligned from day one. “It was like our brains just clicked,” Kddo says. “From that point, we knew we had something special.”
Mack, who spent his early years in Houston before moving to Lafayette, was surrounded by ambition. “I come from a family of go-getters,” he says, describing how basketball was his first passion. He played the sport seriously until his freshman year of college when he realized his heart was no longer in it. That transition came with emotional weight. “I felt helpless and lacked confidence,” Mack shares. But music had always been in his blood—he’d been rapping since age 6 and was often told his lyrics were ahead of his time.
Mack’s life hasn’t been without hardship. The loss of close friends and his baby sister could’ve broken him, but instead, he used his grief as fuel. “No matter how hard things got, I never let myself lose focus of the main goal, which has always been to make my family proud,” he says. That mindset, combined with his creative spirit, has allowed him to push forward no matter the obstacle.
Together, Hi$ & Her$ brings two unique perspectives molded by different upbringings but united by common goals: truth, legacy, and greatness. Their music blends introspective lyricism with Southern flair, reflecting the pain they’ve endured and the passion that drives them. They don’t just want to make it—they want to mean something.
In an era where authenticity often feels rare, Hi$ & Her$ is proof that real stories still matter, and that sometimes, the most powerful collaborations are born from shared pain and mutual purpose.
