#NOLAZINE - Age is just a number, and one Black stylist is proving that fashion has no limits!

New York City-based stylist Diana “Dee” Kaumba, founder and CEO of The Vintage Point (@thevintagepoint_), has turned her grandmother, Margaret Chola, into an international fashion sensation through her viral photography project known as the “Granny Series.”

The inspiring journey began in 2023 when Kaumba visited her family in rural Zambia. What started as a spontaneous photo shoot on the family farm quickly transformed into a global fashion movement, with her grandmother modeling extravagant hats, oversized sunglasses, colorful outfits, and eye-catching accessories.

Now affectionately known as “Legendary Glamma,” Margaret has captured attention worldwide with her fearless fashion choices and undeniable confidence. The photographs blend high-fashion styling with traditional African influences, creating unforgettable images against the backdrop of everyday village life.

Beyond the glamorous outfits and international recognition, the project has brought grandmother and granddaughter closer together while challenging society’s expectations of aging and beauty.

For Margaret, the experience has been life-changing.

“I feel different, I feel new and alive in these clothes, in a way that I’ve never felt before,” she shared. “I feel like I can conquer the world!”

From a small village in Zambia to international fashion recognition, Legendary Glamma is reminding the world that you’re never too old to reinvent yourself, embrace your beauty, or become a star.
