#NOLAZINE - Tamica Nelson, a Black entrepreneur and registered nurse from the Bronx, New York, is turning an everyday problem into a growing business with her Black-owned intimates brand, Soft & Sacred Co (@softandsacredco).

After years of struggling to find bras that offered both comfort and support, Nelson decided to create her own solution. Her mission was simple: design intimate apparel that women could comfortably wear throughout the day without sacrificing confidence or support.

Her company specializes in wireless bras available in cup sizes A through K, along with seamless bodysuits, tummy-control shapewear, and other everyday essentials. The brand focuses on inclusive sizing, soft fabrics, and comfortable designs for women of different body types.

According to reported company figures, Soft & Sacred Co has sold more than one million units, earning a 4.8-star customer rating based on feedback from over 300,000 customers.

From working as a registered nurse to building a successful intimates brand, Tamica Nelson is showing how solving a common problem can create opportunities for entrepreneurship and financial success.
